Description “BRASS CASTOR 25MM” DESCRIPTION- SOLD AS A SET OF 4 CASTOR WHEELS Our range of antique style Brass Castors, made in solid brass with solid brass wheels. Replace the damaged brass castors on your furniture (damaged castors can weaken your chair and sofa frames), or enhance your furniture by replacing your existing castors with our classic Brass Castors. SIZE 25mm – 1″ refers to the brass wheel size and the size of the plate, the height from the bottom of the wheel to the plate is 35mm – 1 3/8″, the screw is approx. 25mm – 1″, screw dia.5mm – 3/8″ including thread ( don’t forget to make the pilot hole smaller) The castor can be screwed into place easily, as the screw extends through the Brass body of the castor to a standard ‘Philips’ or single slot screwdriver head. WHICH SIZE FITS If you are fitting the castors to a narrow leg, the size will depend on the diameter at the bottom of the leg. ie if the bottom of the leg is 1 1/8″ diameter, the 1 1/8″ is the correct castor to fit. anything larger and the ‘plate’ will stick out from the bottom of the leg. UPHOLSTERERS TIP If you are replacing a pair of Brass Castors (never replace just one) and if the original hole has worn you can fill the hole with ‘Plastic Padding’ or ‘Araldite’ screw the castor into the filler, remove excess filler, and leave to set.
