Slight waterto the boards particularly the rear. Light water damage to the leaves particularly affecting the front endpapers and tail edge and corner . With three folding plates at rear. Neat paper repairs to plates. Aglae Adanson (1775-1852) was a French naturalist and author of books on gardening and rural economy. Her first book 'The Country House,' published in 1822, was reprinted several times due to its popularity. This Portuguese translation of the gastronomy section is extracted from the French edition.
